Cham dance (འཆམ་) is a religious dance, which is mainly performed during Monlam Prayer festifal in Tibet. It is considered as a form of an offering to the Gods. The main Cham dancers are Dharmapalas (ཆོས་སྐྱོང་) or Wrathful Deities. “Dharmapalas” means Protectors of Buddhism, such as Yama (གཤིན་རྗེ་), Mahakala (ནག་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་), Palden Lhamo (དཔལ་ལྡན་ལྷ་མོ་) and others.
